Our history
The SparkIT is a social entrepreneurship initiative designed to bridge the current gap in the Nigerian educational system with regards to the development of ICT competences, skills and applications. SparkIT commenced in 2013 as a summer BootCamp for teenagers with two successful fully subscribed summer camps, and has now evolved into a fully-fledged training center staffed with competent staff; the brightest and modern Code Instructors, with the objective of providing afterschool ICT training and technology focused holiday camps for Kids and Teenagers following global best practices and international standards.
Our Goals
Our goal is to empower the next generation of students to be knowledgeable and passionate about technology from an early age. Kids who learn collaborative, problem solving computing skills early in their education will be equipped to become creators rather than just consumers of technology.
Our Approach
We focus on creating a fun, explorative, and collaborative learning environment. We select the brightest and modern enthusiastic instructors with a background in teaching and impacting knowledge. Every one of our educators is highly skilled with a focus on creating a classroom environment that inspires girls and boys from every background to get hooked on technology.
We believe that engagement is key. Through engagement, we get the best from our students and they in turn get the best from our courses. Our teachers are supported by hi-tech aids and subjects which we all find very exciting and life enriching.
Spark IT has been organizing classes for Children and Teens since 2013. We are trusted by Parents and Kids alike to provide memorable teaching experience in all of our Tech Camps; Holiday Camps, Afterschool Club, Private Tutorials, and to do so in a safe, stimulating environment.
